The Tru-BoostX Boost Controller Gauge retains all the beloved features of the original, now enhanced with AEMnet for data logging and a robust internal MAP sensor capable of managing up to 80 PSI of boost. This gauge offers the precision of digital technology with the ease of a manual controller. Programming the AEM Tru-Boost gauge is straightforward with the faceplate buttons, eliminating the need for a laptop. It includes AEM's custom Boost Control Solenoid and all required hardware. Users can program two boost levels plus a scramble boost setting for varying performance levels (with an up to 80PSIg internal MAP sensor), and a time-based scramble boost controlled by a switch input. The controller can be deactivated to use the gauge solely as a display. Adjusting the wastegate open pressure is optimal for minimizing boost spikes and enhancing spool up. The boost can be displayed in PSIg (PSI), BAR, or kPa (PAS), with the option to calibrate the 24 outer LEDs to reflect peak boost levels, creating an ideal sweeping effect. Alarms and peak boost can be displayed, with the 24 green outer LEDs programmed to flash at certain boost pressures, signaling an overboost situation. An output for an optional LED warning light is also provided. The "B" button allows users to view the peak boost level and reset it via the menu. Built-in overboost protection safeguards the engine by deactivating the boost control solenoid until manually reactivated. The integrated error protection feature alerts users to any faults, such as a shorted or disconnected boost control solenoid, ensuring the Tru-BoostX's operational status is always clear. Data logging is possible using the AEMnet CAN bus, which transmits more than just boost pressure, sending 13 channels of data through a 2-wire connection, including boost pressure, peak boost, boost target, and more.
